Robotic Vacuum Cleaner
If you are looking for a robotic vacuum cleaner, consider getting the irobot Roomba 560. This is the top of the line robotic vacuum and it shows! I’ve been using robot vacuum cleaner user for several years and I made the upgrade because my old Roomba broke.
I have to say that I am very impressed with how this robot vacuum cleaner performs. There are many improvements of this Roomba over the previous versions. If you don’t yet have a robotic vacuum yet, do yourself a favor and GET ONE. Roombas are an amazing device. I have several cats and I work at home so I’m at the house every day. It’s just amazing how much dirt seems to accumulate on the carpet every day. I’m too busy to bother with doing tedious vaccum chores. This is where the Roomba robotic vacuum cleaner comes in as a God send. With this device, you set the scheduler to operate while you are sleeping and go to bed. When you wake up, the carpets are completely clean and the Roomba is all charged and ready to g o! There is nothing better than waking up to a clean carpet and dust free air!
If you don’t have pets, you will still be impressed with just how much lint the Roomba picks up. And if you happen to have pets, well, you need this device. You won’t have to worry about pet hairs accumulating in your carpet and getting on all your furniture, clothing, etc.
Now you might be wondering just how loud the Roomba 500 is. I have a noise meter and I did several test to see just how loud this device was. The Roomba is actually a much quieter device than other regular vacuum cleaners. I won’t tell you it’s silent by any means, but it’s much quieter than the alternatives out there. You can put it on and still fall asleep!
So what’s new about this device? You may have had an older model and wondering if it’s worth the cost to upgrade to the new version. Well, first of all, the new Roomba robot vacuum cleaner has a cool new feature where the speed drops when a solid object is approached. The old models would just barrel straight ahead and bang into anything hard – be it a wall, couch, corner, or leg, then turn around. This one slows down so that it touches the hard object gently before spinning around. That’s not to say that the old models would damage furniture or walls, but it’s nice to have a model that doesn’t bash into thinks – keeps you feeling a bit more relaxed, as anyone with a 2000 dollar piece of furniture will tell you!.
The next change is the new Roomba is more aware of when it’s bin and brushes need to be cleaned. Now I fully admit to being a bit lazy with the old models about cleaning. I often didn’t clean them as much as I should have which caused problems. This new model will stop and warn you when the bin is getting full or when the brushes need to be cleaned.
There is also some new anti tangle technology. This is a remarkable improvement. The old models would suck up a cord and keep on rolling around until it got really stuck. The new model will try to untangle itself from a cord. It’s not fool proof, however – so don’t go leaving a room full of cords as an obstacle course.
I’ve had this device for several months and I don’t have any complaints. The device is still going strong. Overall, I highly recommend the iRobot 560 Roomba Vacuuming Robot. Make sure you look around online and check out all the different offers, however. We managed to find a really good deal online on a robotic vacuum cleaner that saved us quite a bit of money.
